Q: WHO PUTS AUDIT DETAILS ONTO THE BRC DIRECTORY?
Audit content on The BRC Directory is managed, updated and maintained by the Certification Body that conducted the most recent audit.
Q: WHEN WILL OUR AUDIT DETAILS ONTO THE BRC DIRECTORY?
Audit & certificate documents are added to the Directory immediately after the certification decision has been made. Certification Bodies are assessed & graded on updating audit & certificate documents in an accurate and timely manner. Updates and new documents are typically administrated within 24 hours of certificate issue.
Q: WHAT IF THERE ARE MISTAKES IN THE AUDIT DATA?
If there are mistake on your site’s audit report & Directory listing, please contact the Certification Body that conducted the audit.
Q: HOW DO I LOCATE A SITE CODE?
All BRC audited sites are allocated a unique 7 digit reference number known as a site code. Site codes are location specific & remain the same for each audit conducted there, regardless of auditing Certification Body or audit status. Site codes can be located on the first page of all BRC audit reports and on all BRC certificates.

You will be required to confirm your association with the audit in question before access is granted
Q: WHO CAN SEE MY REPORT & CERTIFICATE?
Audit owners can choose which buyers can and cannot see their audit report & certificate. This access can be configured at any time. A training PDF is available to help set up the sharing access (link once created)
Q: CAN I ACCESS CERTIFICATE PDFs ON THE DIRECTORY?
Yes – the BRC Global Standards Directory stores full audit reports & certificates in PDF. If your certificate is missing from Directory, please contact your auditing Certification Body.
Q: WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CHOOSING A CERTIFICATION BODY WITH A HIGH KPI RATING?
The 5 Star KPI rating system describes a Certification Bodies consistent audit quality, data administration accuracy and timely data submission. It is measured over a 6 month period. The KPI rating does not reflect audit cost or imply audit severity or leniency
